The technology never left.

Most creative people treat technology as somebody else’s department. I started there — a decade of hardware diagnostics, installs, and support, then years running systems and networks — and I never put it down.

Which means when I see a colleague doing the same twenty-minute task every morning, I do not sympathise. I go build the thing that ends it.

Everything below started as a problem in an actual office, not an idea in a notebook.
